You need to walk through life being conscious of this. Right now though we reign through him during this lifetime. In 2nd Timothy 2:12 the word says 'If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us.' But of this is in the future. We'll also reign with him in the new heaven and the new earth.The bible in Revelation 20:6 says we '.shall reign with him a thousand years'. In the millennium, we're not going to reign through him, but with him.
The underlined preposition 'by' is the Greek 'dia', which means 'through' we're to reign in life through Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17 says 'For if by one man's offence death reigned by one much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.'
